Padre Nicolas Antonio Rodriguez Diocesan School (PNARDS),
Agua Caliente,
El Salvador
The Newman Center has maintained a longstanding relationship with our brothers and sisters in the district of Chalatenango, El Salvador over the last decade.
Through bi-annual student immersion trips, fundraising endeavors, and container projects to send supplies, our parish has been able to support a medical clinic in the city of Chalatenango, Our Lady of Remedy Parish in Tremedal. Our focus now is the
Padre Nicolas Antonio Rodriguez Diocesan School in Agua Caliente, which was founded by Padre Rafael Fuentes in 2010.
When founded, the school had 50 students in grades 1-3. It now boasts an enrollment of 160+ students in grades K-9. Our support of the school will help with ongoing educational needs. Newman Center parishioners have also sponsored university students in El Salvador to help with their education.
