Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is a humanitarian organization that serves international countries in need of assistance in areas including emergency response, agriculture, and health. Their main goal is to promote global solidarity and ensure that basic needs are met for all people.
CRS Student Ambassadors work to promote global solidarity in their campus communities through educational sessions, events that campaign various causes, and prayer services, among others. Some of the main issues they focus on are Climate Change, Migration, Human Trafficking, Fair & Ethical Trade, and Global Hunger.
The Kent State University Catholic Student Association is fortunate to have an active CRS Student Ambassadors Chapter. Activities include informational meetings, The Rice Bowl Project, advocacy on campus and within the state, issue-specific events, prayer services, fair trade sales, guest speakers, and much more.
All students, both members and nonmembers of the Catholic Student Association, are more than welcome to become a CRS Student Ambassador! Our chapter's mission is to be "the roots of change" on our campus and in the world!
